Karate school speed break Speed breaking 4 inches of concrete at the Fountain Hills Karate Club
A speed break is when there is no resistance or support from the back side of the board or concrete. If you are not fast enough, the wood or cement will just fall over. If you try to muscle through it, you will hurt your hand. The idea is that speed equals power. I performed this break while attending the Fountain Hills Karate Club in Fountain Hills, Arizona. Notice my hand does not go through the cement, just the energy released goes through the 2 bricks. Do not attempt this break because you can easily break many bones in your hand. I have had years of martial arts training and demonstrated this break with the supervision of my martial arts instructor. |
